This working group investigates the emergence of the “new museum,” starting in the 1960s, as a site of the reconfiguration of humanities practices.

The working group addresses the genealogies and politics of publishing, from historical accounts and publishers’ narratives to contemporary perspectives on the impact of AI on the making, writing, and reading of  books.

This working group explores the history of the humanities through a global and material lens, examining the complex interplay between intellectual practices and the material resources that underpin them.
